Participation and Medical Details

For outdoor weddings where Wild Scottish Weddings staff are in attendance;

• We plan all weddings with the safety of our Clients and their wedding party in mind and we welcome custom from all abilities. Clients must complete a participation form on behalf of themselves and their guests prior to the wedding day. Depending on the location of the wedding, this form may ask for your details, emergency contact information & medical conditions (including allergies) and if you are using any medications. These details will only be used to help build the right wedding trip for you; we will of course discuss this with you if we have any concerns. If your wedding is at a location that is inaccessible by emergency services then the form will also be used by our Base Camp, the team that looks after everyone’s safety while we are out on the hill. The Base Camp will commence emergency procedures should we fail to return or should your wedding guide call them. By signing the form, you agree that we can pass on your details to the emergency services, Police and Mountain Rescue. This event is extremely unlikely.

• Wild Scottish Weddings understands that outdoor weddings, particularly those in mountainous and remote locations can be hazardous. By agreeing to be guided by Wild Scottish Weddings, the wedding party agree to accept these risks and will be responsible for their own actions. We refer you to the following statement from Mountaineering Scotland "Mountaineering Scotland recognises that climbing and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement".

• Our Mountain Leader qualified guides are responsible for the safety of the wedding party whilst on location and during the wedding ceremony. To manage the risk, clients are requested make their guide aware should they feel unhappy or feel the activity is beyond their ability. No one will be requested to undertake an activity with which they are not comfortable with. By agreeing to continue, the wedding party accept responsibility for the risks.

• Wild Scottish Weddings reserve the right to use any member of our team as a guide on your wedding day.

• Wild Scottish Weddings reserve the right to stop any wedding trip if any member(s) of the wedding party acts irresponsibly, unsafely or is abusive. Additional charges will apply if the offending client(s) have to be escorted off the trip by an additional guide.

• Wild Scottish Weddings keep a close eye on the weather forecasts before we set out on the wedding trip. We reserve the right to modify the trip to ensure you still have enjoyable experience with Wild Scottish Weddings.
